New Jersey-Based Martech Firm Doubles Down on Programmatic and Specialized Category Advertising

Dennison will continue to play an active role shaping the company’s strategy as President, focused on programmatically-delivered video advertising.
Calento co-founded Cannavu in April 2019. In October 2019, he became CMO and COO of Trion, which is CannaVu’s parent company, while still running CannaVu. As CEO of Trion, Calento will be tasked with growing the parent company’s business, launching new products and advertising brands, fostering partnerships and expanding profitability. Prior to co-founding Cannavu, Calento was CEO of AI Prime, a company that utilizes artificial intelligence technology to improve performance marketing. He remains a member of its board of directors. He also co-founded TriVu Video, which was acquired by Adknowledge in 2014 and previously in senior and executive management roles in technology media.

Calento will direct and execute the strategic plan for growing the established digital advertising technology platform to improve direct-to-consumer advertising via artificial intelligence, machine learning and access to premium media supply. He will help advertisers in unregulated markets such as pharma, alcohol, health/wellness, and cannabis/CBD connect to new audiences carefully, cautiously and effectively.
Part of Calento’s mission as CEO will be to cement Cannavu’s leadership position as the leading expert in regulatory-compliant advertising. He has been with Trion since its inception and has accelerated the growth of its footprint in the U.S.
