Tony D’anna is currently the CEO at PostUp, an email marketing service including list development, social integration, and detailed analytics. Prior to PulseConnect, Tony served as Vice President of the Unicast division at Enliven Marketing Technologies. The Makegood recently spoke with D’anna about the relaunch of PostUp.
The Makegood: Congratulations on the relaunch of PostUp. What was the reason behind this relaunch, and what has it done for the brand thus far?
As a division of a larger diversified software company it can be challenging to get your message out – i.e., why we do what we do and how we do it. Once we spun off our division as a standalone entity, it was obvious that we had to re-establish the defining question as to why we exist as a company. While the brand has only been live for a few weeks we have already begun to create an identity as a well-established email marketing solutions company that is focused on delivering personalized solutions to the best enterprises that count on email marketing to fuel their business success, with a focus on companies in the media, pub, entertainment and gaming categories.
The Makegood: Could you elaborate on what PostUp does? How does the company stand out among competitors in the industry?
At Postup, we build lasting relationships between brands and their customers in the digital world. We deliver automated email marketing services to mid to large enterprises and specialized services for media (publishing, entertainment, gaming), lead generation and retail companies. We stand out because with our proven services team, award-winning platform and hand-picked partners, we deliver personalized communications that drive engagement and increase revenues.
The Makegood: How has PostUp kept up with the changing industry, even though it was founded almost 20 years ago?
We have stayed focused on our customers, not trying to be everything to everyone. We’re a talented team with an unusual amount of tenure. Our expertise in email, particularly in verticals including Media, Publishing, Entertainment and gaming, and our best of breed partners, hand-picked to deliver the best solutions for our customers, have allowed us to keep pace with the ever-evolving industry. We have stayed nimble and responsive.
The Makegood: What does being an independent company mean for PostUp? Will the focus of the company remain the same?
We don’t have to compete for resources; we have no red tape and our only priority is delivering for our customer. All of these attributes are very appealing to large enterprises that have to deal with many of those issues internally. And when it comes to their partners, these companies expect swift and decisive action. While there are many companies competing for business in our space, I truly believe we are in the best possible position to move quickly.
For the most part, everything we do will continue to revolve around email; making it personalized, automated, socially enabled and optimized for devices in order to maximize customer engagement and drive traffic back to our clients’ websites. We will also continue to develop our solutions for complimentary channels including SMS/MMS and evaluate additional channels like mobile apps.
The Makegood: What do you see for the future of the company? How much do you see it expanding?
We are continuing to expand the company as we add to our team and forge new business partnerships. We pride ourselves in evolving with our clients. As the companies we work with grow, we also continue to develop our functionality to suit their changing needs.
There’s really no limit to potential growth – market research continues to show that email marketing is here to stay. Regardless of how large we do become, PostUp will remain singularly focused on delivering the best solutions to our valued customers.
The Makegood: Thank you, Tony.
