Will Margiloff is currently the CEO at IgnitionOne, a global leader in cloud-based digital marketing technology providing a world-class proprietary platform and expert services to improve digital marketing performance. Margiloff also founded Innovation Interactive, a digital marketing services firm. The Makegood recently spoke with Margiloff about IgnitionOne’s Series B.
The Makegood: Congratulations on IgnitionOne’s $20 Million Series B Funding. What will the company use this funding for, and how will it add to its success?
Thank you. We are very excited about this funding and the additional capital will open the door for additional strategic acquisitions, accelerated innovation of our Digital Marketing Suite technology and expansion of sales and marketing activities. We are the industry’s broadest and most well-integrated digital marketing hub and this capital will help us extend our lead.
The Makegood: Could you elaborate on what IgnitionOne does, and how it has performed in the industry thus far?
IgnitionOne is global leader in cloud-based digital marketing technology. We provide a world-class proprietary platform and expert services to improve performance across advertising and marketing efforts. Our Digital Marketing Suite empowers marketers to buy, manage and optimize digital media across Search, Display, Social and Mobile. We help marketers understand their users through Data Management and Cross Channel Attribution. And we then optimize conversions on and off a marketer’s website through Marketing Automation. At the core of everything we do is our proprietary User Engagement Score Algorithm which determines the value of a user in order to automate the delivery of the right message, at the right time, at the right cost. IgnitionOne is one of the largest independent marketing technology companies in the world. We work with some of the world’s top brands and agencies and currently score over 300 million users monthly in 75 countries and power more than $30 billion in revenue each year for our clients.
The Makegood: IgnitionOne has a notable global footing. Will this funding further expand the company globally?
The driver behind this deal, and nearly everything we do, is to help us do great things for our clients. And those clients are all over the world. We want to continue to innovate and bring them the best solutions to improve their performance, make their lives easier and make them look like rock stars. We have always been open to geographic expansion where it makes sense. We have a global footprint of over 450 employees in 17 offices across 10 countries and we expect that to grow.
The Makegood: What sort of edge do you believe IgnitionOne has over other companies in the industry? To what extent do you believe the company’s cloud-based suite gives it the edge?
Compared to the mega-cloud vendors, we have a more complete integration of ad and marketing tech and we are solely focused on digital marketing – which allows us to be more innovative. Our User Engagement Score as well as our True Data Management (for both known and anonymous users) is centralized and our solutions are built to work together to produce better results.
The Makegood: What do you see for the future of IgnitionOne? How do you see the company expanding?
Marketers are quickly getting on board with the concept of a digital marketing hub, and IgnitionOne is at the forefront of this trend. We will continue to grow through strategic integrations and organically throughout our global footprint. We will continue to grow in ways that help our clients and allow us to better serve their needs and reach their customers.
The Makegood: Thank you, Will.
