The Makegood Turns Two and Expands Its Focus

Over the past 24 months we’ve published 500 articles, had over 100,000 unique visitors and more than a quarter million page views. The Makegood now averages upwards of 10,000 readers a month and continues to grow. Virtually all of our traffic has been generated by word of mouth.

So what’s next as we enter year three?

Effective immediately we’re expanding our focus to include technology. You’ll notice that we have a new logo and tagline: The Business of Media and Technology. You’ll be reading about innovative companies that are transforming our lives, regardless of whether or not advertising is part of their business model. Media is radically transforming and we plan to cover it from all angles.

We are also going to increase our frequency. Originally our goal was to publish one worthwhile article a day. But now that we have a significant waiting list of people who want to be interviewed or would like to contribute, we will be publishing more often. Look for new content each morning and afternoon.

We would also like to publish a weekly email newsletter digest of our top stories. We have a list of subscribers that have been patiently waiting to receive content in this format for some time.

We greatly enjoy publishing this site for you. We’re all citizen journalists, covering the industry that we love to the best of our ability. While this is not our full time job, we take our work seriously.
